In-Between-Houses Haul

After what feels like an ungodly amount of time, I have finished unpacking. This not only means no more boxes cluttering up my new space – it means access to my stuff. Well, not quite all of it, but enough so that life feels normal. And let me tell you, as soon as I knew that I’d be moving out, my system fried, overloaded with conflicting messages of “you must save” and “you must treat yourself while you can”. Long story short, here are the lolita things I bought recently.

Finally, you're mine!

Not sure if you can tell, but there's glitter in the strawberries.

Love those finishing touches. No wonder these pieces kept selling out.

Let’s start off with what feels like the biggest victory ever: the Fancy Crepe necklace in mint. I’m not sure whether I hate AP or myself more for loving a piece of plastic jewellery so much that I attempted to get it six bloody times, yet here we are. My sixth time proved lucky, as I decided to contact Chibi Tenshi instead of Muuh or Mint Kismet. Chibi Tenshi is based in a smaller city than the other two (which isn’t hard when your competition is Tokyo and Osaka respectively), so I figured if anyone could get it for me, it’d be her. And she did. It is in every aspect as obscenely adorable as I wished and, crucially, it matches Diner Doll perfectly. AP Paris still has the matching ring up on their website and I won’t lie, I’m tempted as hell. At least the current shitty exchange between the pound and the euro makes resisting easier…

Since I already had an open order, might as well, right?

Both the tulle and the lace are so soft. The perfect cool shade of dark brown (AP would probably call it bitter in their chocolate stuff).

Since Chibi Tenshi managed to get that necklace, I jumped in on the opportunity to get a pair of wrist cuffs off Fril or Mercari (I honestly can’t remember). These are from Innocent World and on the listing photo they looked like exactly the shade of brown I needed – and they were! They match the blouse I intended these for perfectly, which means they will also match some of the other brown items I have. Truth be told, they’re not the style of wrist cuffs that I normally would’ve gone for. I prefer mine fluffier and wider, lace rather than pleats, however as I couldn’t find what I like in the colour I needed, I went for these instead. Should I ever find something better, I’ll probably replace these, but for now they live with me. I was also able to sell my previous brown wrist cuffs basically straight away and to a very good home too, so all worked out great there!

This is probably the most accurate colour representation.

I'm still not entirely sure why rose lace on strawberry themed wrist cuffs, but who am I to question Innocent World?

I love that the strawberry theme is so subtle.

These weren’t the only wrist cuffs I got though, not even the only ones from Innocent World. As it was the season for summer sales, I browsed what all the various brands had going on and these caught my eye. Not for the first time either, as I first spotted them, along with the matching socks, back in March when I visited the Innocent World shop in Osaka. As much as I would’ve loved the socks too, I couldn’t justify these at the time, so only got the wrist cuffs. I had remembered them as a little bit more true red than they actually are, they lean ever so slightly wine, though not enough to make a massive difference. They will still compliment all the pieces I had in mind and the lace on these is so lovely and soft. These are much more my taste when it comes to wrist cuff shape and hopefully I’ll be able to wear these soon.

Again, this is the more accurate to colour. My camera really doesn't like wine red and wants to brighten it into true red.

Inobtrusive branding is best branding.

This was another total impulse purchase, this time through Instagram. Although I’ve been thinking about trying out brand turtlenecks for some time now, up until this one I haven’t found one I’d like. As it was also sold via Instagram only, and for an acceptable price too, the impulse buy mentality kicked in and I messaged the seller as soon as I saw the story post. To my relief, it fits and wasn’t too problematic to put on or take off, so I look forward to wearing this more when the weather cools down (well, cools down more). I have this really cosy coord idea in mind with Whipped Cream Kitty – and maybe even something festive with Lady Sloth’s Winter Spices print! Which kind of makes me want some festive socks…

It may not look like much on its own, though the renaissance vibes the sleeves have sucked me in.

A grey that photographs, well, grey, Even if there are some hints of lavender undertones.

The bodice is entirely shirring, so this should be comfy as hell to wear.

I’ve found this one in quite an unusual way. When reading Saxon Blues’ post about unconventional places to buy lolita from, I clicked on a link for one of the blouses. While that particular one seemed to be unavailable or only available in the USA, I ignored it, but this blouse caught my eye in the ‘people also bought’ tab. Through some fiddling, I managed to find a listing that was shipping from China and I decided to take the risk. At £10 if it hadn’t worked out, I wouldn’t have lost much, when I could potentially gain a grey blouse to match my black pieces (and some other ones) with a neckline that works best on me. And it worked out! The blouse is very short, though it doesn’t matter as it’ll be under JSKs. It’s not the best thing out there, you definitely get what you pay for with quality, but at that price I really am not complaining. The listing also had some other colours, so if it’s still available after I test it out a bit more, I may give in.

Not quite bubblegum pink, not quite peachy pink. It's a good thing that I'm not super obsessed with colour matching (despite what the brown wrist cuffs' story might tell you).

The material and all the laces are so soft. For a 100% polyester chiffon, this feels the least polyester-like.

I am in love with those sleeve details!

Freebies. Luckily I got different colours/designs of things this time compared to last.
Technically I bought this blouse a while ago, since I got it on preorder, but I can’t be bothered making a separate post about it. I was going to, but too much effort. Anyhow, this is my first blouse from Dear Celine and, just like the dress before it, it arrived with some freebies. More importantly, however, it fits like a glove! Obviously, I wouldn’t buy it if I didn’t think that it’d fit, yet anyone with a bust over 80cm quickly learns to not expect anything when it comes to lolita blouses. There was absolutely zero gaping at the chest and despite it being chiffon, the material isn’t particularly see-through, which means that I could even wear this with skirts. True, the sleeve cuffs could’ve been elasticated for extra comfort, but they fit, so I’ll stop being picky. So tempted to get this in more colours now…

The font in which 'Crown Label' is written reminds me so much of the Disney font.

IT'S A KITTEH! Look at this adorable face, I wanna pet it!

If all cosmetic ads looked like this, I would never stop buying. Kittens like this could sell me anything!

Bad timing in that Irregular Choice announced rubber duck shoes - and now I want those stupidly cute shoes to go with my stupidly cute rubber ducks on Bubble Bath.
Oh, and speaking of skirts – I am now a proud and happy owner of Bubble Bath! Since maybe the beginning of this year, I’ve been stalking all the Closet Child branches via Twitter. Many of the things they stock never make it to the website, as they sell out that quickly, and they do get some real gems. And so one day I spotted this skirt posted to Closet Child Ikebukuro’s feed. Muuh wasn’t available for in-store purchase at that time, so I desperately looked for another shopping service. I actually found so many, but majority of them only did online shopping – until I found RinRin Tokyo Shopping Service. When I found the page, the name seemed familiar and I think I saw someone else on Instagram mention them in their stories, so I messaged and long story short, the skirt is now mine. RinRin Tokyo SS is a one-woman operation and she was wonderful from start to finish, keeping me informed, answering promptly and being very honest (she refunded me something like ¥200 because the postage turned out less than estimated). So if you’re ever in a pinch and need a shopping service with great communication, reasonable fees and who’s based in Tokyo, consider them.

This little review aside, I am absolutely in love with Bubble Bath! I knew I would be, but as always with lolita pieces, they look so much better in person. The first thing I noticed was the texture in the print, which I never even knew about. The material is very light cotton, which would’ve been ideal for the heatwave we had last weekend, except that all the rest of my frills were still packed away then. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll find (or make) an occasion soon. And all those adorable kitties! I doubt anyone at Meta ever actually tried to give a kitty a bath, because most times it doesn’t go this adorably, which is also a reason why I love this print so much. It’s KITTIES! And they’re HAVING A BATH! With LOTS OF BUBBLES! Not gonna lie, if I ever come across the pinafore JSK of this print, I might cave in and buy that too for extra kitties and cuteness – for now I shall live my bubble bath dreams with the skirt.

And that’s all from the things that have arrived so far. My Haenuli order has shipped, though the tracking has been stuck at “departed with flight XYZ from Incheon Airport” for maybe a week now – whatever happened, it’s not here yet. Though when it does arrive, I’ll do a proper unboxing and post about it. Hopefully by then I will have figured out the best filming and photo spots in my flat. Don’t worry, I plan on testing that out soon – this weekend is the last one before I start my new job, after having all of August off, and I am in VERY SERIOUS need of wearing my frills!

Shopping for Brand Coordinates: Fril Edition

If you know me, then you know that I’m a very vocal advocate of Fril and Mercari. They’re my favourite places to shop for lolita because you can get stuff for a steal if you’re attentive and fast enough. In the past I have shared some tips on how to find those bargains, plenty of hauls obtained from there, as well as some cheap all-brand coordinates that I made myself. Today will be a mix of all of the above and we will go shopping! Well, window shopping.

The Challenge

To prove that you can find some absolute gems if you’re willing to dig hard enough, I will put together outfits using only brand items found on Fril. Each coordinate will be composed of items from the same brand and they will be sorted by brands, with some general comments on the search as well as the outfit. As Fril listing photos vary in quality, the collages will be made out of stock photos, unless I can’t find one, and I will link to the original listings. Of course, I will also disclose the total cost of the outfit (excluding any shipping costs and shopping service fees), so that you can see for yourself what you can expect to spend when putting together an all brand outfit. Some of those coordinates will be cheap, while some may not, as each brands resale value differs and as I prioritise having a complete, wearable look versus going for literally the cheapest pieces. But more on that with each of the coordinates.

The Rules

A couple of rules I am setting for this challenge:

  1. No single item can be priced above 5000 Japanese Yen. Given the British Pounds current exchange rate fluctuation, I will also add approximate price in US Dollars.
  2. All items must be available to purchase at the time of my putting together the collage. (Availability may change later.)
  3. JSKs only. Skirts are notoriously cheap and OPs require one element fewer to complete a coordinate. The point of this post is to prove that you can get a versatile item for cheap.
  4. All items have to be from the brand named, not simply listed under its tag.
  5. All listings must have a proof photo (basically, if I wouldn’t feel comfortable purchasing it myself, then it’s not allowed) and in case of items that may be harder to identify, a picture showing the inner tag.
  6. All items must be in a wearable condition (again, if I wouldn’t buy it for myself, then it doesn’t go).
  7. I will try to get as many different items as possible, from bags to jewellery, but they must all form a part of a coordinate (so no novelties or items that cannot be worn).

A couple of extra notes:

  • I won’t take sizes into account. This may mean that some coordinates will not be plus size friendly. If there’s interest, I can do a plus-size version of this post in the future.
  • I will not try to get different substyles represented in the outfits. They are literally what I found within the price range that worked best together.
  • These coordinates are not necessarily things that I would wear or styled in a way that I would wear. These are simply complete and shoppable lolita outfits that are possible to put together.

So let’s see what kinds of coordinates we could make!

Angelic Pretty

| Cotton Lace JSK (¥5,000) | unknown blouse (¥2,500) | Triple Ribbon bolero (¥3,800) | Happy Garden headbow (¥1,200) | Dream Star Tote Bag (¥500)* | Dreamy Horoscope OTKs (¥800) | unknown shoes (¥1,555) | Cross Choker (¥1,500) | Dot Cute Ribbon Ribbon bracelet (¥1,200) |
TOTAL = ¥18,055 (approx. US$170)
As the most popular lolita fashion brand, Angelic Pretty had the most stuff priced up until ¥5000. However, out of those at the time of my searching only one was a JSK (though there were several skirts and a handful of OPs). Although this changes depending on who lists what, it generally remains true at most times. Finding an Angelic Pretty JSK at ¥5000 or under takes a lot of time, patience, as well as often being very unpicky (old, unpopular, usually unprinted designs), very slim (unshirred pieces) and even very crafty (pieces with more extensive damages).
The upside to this situation is that once you have a dress, you can style it in almost any way imaginable with almost every colour imaginable. There are enough tops, socks, shoes, bags and smaller accessories to match pretty much any aesthetic. During my search, even though I have settled on making a sweet kuro outfit, I fluctuated between wanting to do one that’s more military, more oldschool, more gothy or more classy with pearls. That’s just within the black colour scheme alone.
* Technically you would spend ¥1000, however, for that price you get two bags, so the one thats needed for this coord technically works out at only ¥500.

Baby the Stars Shine Bright

| Pup in a Cup JSK (¥2,500) | School cardigan (¥2,500) | Snow Dot blouse (¥3,800) | Grosgrain Double Ribbon headbow (¥2,500) | Ribbon Heart bag (¥1,800) | Princess Drop Embroidered Border knee high socks (¥850) | Strawberry Cake shoes (¥2,000) | unknown wrist cuffs (¥1,800) | Mirror necklace (¥2,000) | Meltaine Ribbon ring (¥1,000) | Twinkle Gingham Ribbon ring & Lumiere Ribbon bracelet set (¥3,500) |
TOTAL = ¥24,250 (approx. US$229)
The situation with Baby is very similar to Angelic Pretty. Having said this, generally there are more JSKs being listed at ¥5000 or lower, but do look out for significant damage and don’t expect things to be too new or too popular. Again, you will have a wide range of builder pieces available at your disposal to create a host of different looks with, both in terms of style and colour. Majority of those will be sweet lolita and maybe something more classic, as BtSSB delegates most of their darker stuff to Alice and the Pirates. I wanted to break away from the safe colour bases of white/ivory/black and show that certainly within sweet lolita it’s possible to get all sorts of other pastel coloured pieces. Despite this coordinate being more expensive than the Angelic Pretty one, do notice the few more accessories here, the printed dress and the novelty shoes. If you are a sweet lolita, your best value strategy would probably be checking listings tagged under both AP and BtSSB and compare what you can get for similar prices. Still, this whole outfit costs about as much as a brand new simple non-printed BtSSB JSK on their website, so for a coordinate of 12 pieces this really is not bad.

Alice and the Pirates

| Sailor OP with Ribbon Ties (¥3,980) | unknown blouse (¥5,000) | Waist Rib-Stitch cardigan (¥4,000) | Rose Lace boater hat (¥4,500) | Marine Border OTKs with Emblem (¥2,399) | Christopher shoes (¥3,500) | Mini Fairy Tale Pochette (¥3,900) | Gears of Time necklace (¥4,800) | unknown brooch (¥1,500)
TOTAL = ¥33,579 (approx. US$317)
Whilst I anticipated Alice and the Pirates to be the hardest one to find a coordinate for, this ended up being the most straightforward to put together. And both of those were for the same reason – Alice and the Pirates had the fewest number of lolita listings within that price range. This is common for that brand: some of their pieces are boystyle, some are too coveted to drop below that price, and yet other ones are actually mislabelled and filed under Baby the Stars Shine Bright. Generally speaking, Alice and the Pirates retains a lot of its value second hand and in my experience, the cheapest JSKs are usually around the ¥6000-¥8000 mark. However, luck favoured me this time around and provided enough pieces for this simple sailor outfit. Whilst I have found a pair of these same shoes for less (approx. ¥1600), the damage on those was quite substantial and you would certainly need to take them to the cobbler before wear, as one of the heels has lost its sole. Certainly compared to the Angelic Pretty outfit, which cost less than a brand new Angelic Pretty JSK, this one is on the expensive side. However, in the context of this being a complete and wearable coordinate, with several pieces being sold BNWT or BNWOT, as well as being highly versatile for future wear, an entirely Alice and the Pirates coordinate for a little bit more than one of their pricier OPs brand new, this is not bad value.

Innocent World

| Candy Pattern Flare JSK (¥3,500) | Rose Lace Short parka (¥2,777) | unknown cutsew (¥1,500) | Emblem Ribbon combs (¥1,700) | Chocolate Fountain OTKS (¥1,300) | Roseline shoes (¥4,200) | unknown necklace (¥1,050) | unknown bag (¥3,500) | Heart Scallop umbrella (¥3,000) |
TOTAL = ¥22,527 (approx. US$213)
In my experience, Innocent World is the brand that’s most likely to have JSKs priced at ¥5000 or less. There are a number of reasons for those, including age, condition and popularity, though I suspect that since Innocent World often ‘passes’ for regular vintage clothes outside of lolita settings, they may also have been worn the most by their owners on a daily basis. As such, many sellers probably don’t feel that their solid coloured or simple pattern dresses are worth a high asking price and will mark these lower. But this is purely a guess.
Whilst you will find a decent range of builder pieces to complete your coordinate with, I would say that their accessory range is the smallest of all the brands. This is likely because compared to other brands Innocent World doesn’t release jewellery as often. Moreover, their simple, elegant classic style doesn’t require branded jewellery, so as many lolitas wear offbrand or antique pieces, they naturally have fewer branded ones to sell. Its a little funny how for such a classic brand I managed to put together this cutesy and pretty casual coordinate. Innocent Worlds kind of sweet is usually pretty toned down, though theyve done some quirkier stuff in the past. I can certainly think of people who I think would wear this.

Metamorphose temps de fille

| Girly Note JSK with Collar (¥3,000) | Cameo Embroidery bolero (¥4,000) | unknown blouse (¥4,663) | Magical Moon Light OTKs (¥1,300) | Triple Ribbon shoes (¥4,200) | Heart-Shaped Ribbon Bag (¥3,500) | unknown necklace (¥700) | Acrylic Ribbon bangle and ring set (¥2,000)
TOTAL = ¥23,363 (approx. US$221)
Ah, good ol’ Meta. As you’d expect, majority of main pieces under ¥5000 are their skirts, predominantly the fully shirred ones. I love these so much, so it was tempting to break the rule for lolita fashion’s OG rulebreaker, but I resisted. Although I couldn’t find one this time, many Meta JSKs that are sold this cheaply are fully shirred too, which makes them very size inclusive – if size is your concern, then keep a hawk eye on that. This particular JSK is an interesting one, as it’s a great example of a piece that balances that line between sweet and classic. We have a sweet motif and colourway, but very retro-inspired classic A-line cut. Sadly, there weren’t enough red pieces to make a pink x red coordinate, so I decided to play up the classic vibes by adding gold. Also, although the collar of the dress is detachable, the neckline underneath it is still quite high, so I aimed to find a blouse that would work with the collar on. This wouldn’t be an ideal first piece for someone completely new to the fashion, probably even one of the skirts would’ve been easier to coordinate for a newbie, so if you go Meta, make sure to see what the piece looks like with and without any and all detachable parts. Again, if you had this much money in your pocket, you could just about bag yourself one of their non-printed JSKs brand new, but with no money left over for any accessories. And considering how often gold appears as an accent colour, any of these pieces would work great in a princessy sweet lolita wardrobe, which makes this a nice investment.

Final words

As stated at the beginning, these coords were created to show that you can get a whole brand coordinate if you shop smart on sites such as Fril. These are by no means the cheapest coords possible, but I hope you can see how they could be made even cheaper by replacing or removing certain pieces or going with a skirt/a cheap OP. Of course, this way to shop will not work for everyone for a number of reasons, and shoppers outside of Japan will have to include the cost of shopping service and international postage fees to their total. Still, with enough patience and as few guidelines as to what you want and what condition you want it in, I believe that everyone can bag themselves a bargain. I sincerely recommend this video from Petticats, who are incredibly thrifty bargain hunters and have managed to snag even better deals, regardless of their plus size needs, simply by patiently and consistently searching sites like this. (And also, subscribe to them in general because they’re great YouTubers and the sweetest people I know.)

Are any of these coordinates something that you’d consider getting for yourself? Is there anything here that you’re surprised to see at that price? Let me know, if you’d like me to do similar posts in the future – I could definitely do a Mercari edition, as well as a plus size friendly one and one where I literally put together the cheapest pieces I find. I’m open to further suggestions too, so don’t be afraid to make a request!

FoS Teddy Bear Meet

Phew, life is sort of getting back to normal now. I have gone through basically all of this month (up until this very post) on stuff that I have scheduled a while back, so that this blog wouldn’t look deserted while I was moving. But now I’ve run out of pre-written content and am back online, as well as mostly settled in my new place – so let’s talk about the meet I went to literally the day before my moving out, shall we?

| Magic Tea Party Bears Paradise skirt | BtSSB shirring blouse | BtSSB Antique Ribbon shoes | Cutie Creator headdress | Dalao Home wig | Innocent World bag | BtSSB parasol (pictured below) | offbrand socks and necklace |

I brought the parasol for practical reasons as it was raining occasionally throughout the day. But I never actually needed it, so I was going to be damned if I didn't whip it out for at least one photo!

While the aegyo sal makeup is intentional, I probably was as tired as I looked there. Also, since I packed almost all my makeup, I borrowed heavily from my Mum for that authentic oldschool look lol.

As you gathered from the title, the theme was bears. The meet organiser also got this skirt and we decided to twin. It was her idea to style it in an oldschool way and while I never would’ve even thought of it, I loved the idea and the final look. It also helped that this was an outfit that required the absolute minimum of getting ready for, so I could basically pack everything and leave the barest minimum still out. My bare room really suited the ‘don’t mess with me’ vibe of oldschool poses, though it’s surprising how dark it turned out. It wasn’t any darker than usual, yet having my dark walls exposed, instead of covered in shit, absorbed this much more light that it made for darker pictures.

This meet was on the cards way before I even knew that I’d be moving. My Dad gave me the biggest side-eye when I told him that I still intended on going, because he wanted to drive me down that Saturday. But let’s be honest, I really needed this meet. I spent good 2 weeks prior to it in slacks, packing, prepping stuff, sorting things out and generally stressed – having a break, however short, restored a lot of my energy and made me feel like a person again. While I don’t necessarily wear frills every weekend, this 2 week absence of any kind of nice clothes really affected my mood and wellbeing, which just goes to show how big a part of my life lolita and J-fashion have become.

Anyhow, onto the meet itself! I knew that there was a Teddy Bear Shop in York, I was even vaguely aware that it had a café, yet somehow hadn’t actually stepped inside until that day. That was probably my subconscious trying to protect me, because all the bears inside were ridiculously adorable as well as definitely not for my pocket. I fell in love with one that turned out to be £70 – rest assured, I remained sensible and did not buy it.

This shop is hard to miss and tourists always take pictures with this bear.

The one on the right was too cute, I wish I could've bought it!

Some more touristy bears if you fancy. They look super cozy in these sweaters, I want sweater weather already (though I better be careful what I wish for).

Here's the deal with tourism in the UK: even in York, where you don't see policement dressed like this or beefeaters, you can still get basically every kind of London-specific souvenirs. Because tourists.

Since I arrived later than most of the other attendees, so that I could have some extra sleep in the morning, I browsed the shop with another lolita until the rest of our party turned up. That’s when we moved upstairs to the café part, where we were greeted by the table full of out goodie bags. I knew that these were happening, but I didn’t expect them to be this good or varied – there were some bits we all got (like the bear ears and pictures) and some that were unique to various people (especially the miscellaneous items like stationery and accessories). It also took me a while to realise that the i's had bears – a sentence which proved confusing when spoken out loud vs written down.

The goodie bags were a true labour of love and were beary much appreciated.

See what I mean? The i's had bears!

The contents of my goody bag. I still actually haven't properly unpacked it.

Our tea spread arrived fairly quickly after out drinks did. As usual these days, I left the scone out, fully knowing that I’d get too full from it. Everything else was delicious: I loved the open sandwiches and both cakes were just divine! I appreciate how they went with quality instead of quantity, two great cakes are way better that four average ones. Also, when the waitress brought the two vegan sets, the café earned big plus from me – they normally don’t serve vegan food, but for the two sets they collaborated with another café in York that does. Having seen people with dietary requirements be given meh options in the past as venues struggled with those requirements, it was refreshing to see them both admit that this wasn’t their strength and support another local business to deliver something of better quality. Very good!

Are you having tea if you don't photograph it?

Both of these were a solid 10/10!

The scone I didn't eat. I heard it was good and I trust people. Butter wrapped like a piece of
candy was a cute touch though.

These sandwiches were surprisingly filling and some of the nicer ones I've had, I approve.

Time went by really quickly there, as not only the tea spread was delicious and the chat great – we had plenty of games to keep us busy too! We started off with origami bears (I’m poor at origami, so I cut corners, other people’s looked more like the pictures), before playing pin the bow on Usakumya, followed later by a Guess the Bear game. Some were quite easy (like Rilakkuma), while others, well, were not – I had Angelic Pretty’s Porter Bear, which I recognised, but not remembered the name. It took some creative thinking to get people to piece the clues into that name, so well done.  There was even a best dressed competition, very rightfully won by Lucy, who was dressed in a handmade Rilakkuma-inspired JSK. It was super cute, so well made, she deserved that win!

That's what it was supposed to look like. Mine had a more square head because I got lost at that part, though no pictures of my creation were taken.

Usakumya had all the bows imaginable.

I will also subject you to this cursed image because I can.

100% well deserved Best Dressed win - and the sash matched the coord too!

Before leaving, we had to take advantage of our café floor being temporarily empty and take pictures there and then. Only later did we spot the ‘do not touch the display’ sign, but hey, nothing got damaged and no-one saw us, so it’s fine, right? This is also where my two polaroids were taken, I still need to display them somewhere. It also makes me want to get a polaroid camera, so that I could have more cute snaps like this and make them into a bigger display.

With my wonderful twin, she's a cutie and did so well organising this meet!

Picctures of pictures. That solo polaroid does look like it was actually taken in maybe the 1970's, doesn't it? In a weird way it makes me want to have a log cabin getaway, but to a log cabin that remains untouched since 1970's and has tacky decor.

After a group photo in front of the shop (where we stopped quite a bit of traffic for that snap), we headed to the Museum Gardens. Is it really a meet in York if you don’t go to see the owls there? After hanging out with owls, we went further in, away from the busy parts, to take some more pictures and just hang out. Although I didn’t want to stay too late, so that I’d have time for a bath and last minute packing back at home, I did end up staying later than the train I had originally booked. Truth be told, I just didn’t want that meet to end and have to go back to being a practically dressed slob, I wanted my kawaii break to last as long as possible.

This is Gizmo who was 4 months old and the tiniest bean ever (literally the size of a hand).
Gizmo was also grumpy and just wanted a nap, but them pesky people wouldn't allow that.

The creepy twins. Photo thanks to Rosie.

And what actual twins are usually like. Photo thanks to Rosie.

Only on our way back did we realise that we also had basically the same shoes (though tbh
the Bodyline ones were probably much more comfortable).

As this month’s Wunderwelt Libre theme is meetup reports, I have written about this meet over there too, give it a peek, please.
