You seem to know a little bit and have gotten as far as looking at actual Lolita clothes and picking out a favourite brand or a piece, but it’d be a push to consider your casual interest Lolita just yet. This is the beginning of a very exciting journey, although remember that it won’t always be easy. Work on learning as much about the fashion as you can to determine if you want to pursue it, then start building your wardrobe the right way and see if there is a community near you whom you could join for your very first meet. Best of luck!

Now that you made some tangible
commitments, you have well and truly become a Lolita beginner, even if your
interest started years ago. You probably have some completed outfits, but are
still building your wardrobe to be more accommodating and versatile. Or you’ve
been financially blessed to purchase a lot, but kept yourself to yourself as a
lone Lolita. Whichever one it is, keep working on it and keep engaging with the
fashion and soon you will blossom.
You’ve blossomed from the newbie bud
and become a Lolita, no-adjectives-needed. Although if you really want one, you
could probably call yourself ‘well-rounded’ or ‘experienced’. By now your
wardrobe allows you enough room for versatility and experimentation without
having to constantly get new main pieces (unless you want to, of course).
You’ve also amassed your fair share of experiences such as attending meetups,
meeting people and engaging with Lolita media such as printed magazines. If you
want to keep improving, consider saving some purchases for later to allow for a
trip, to a Lolita event or abroad to shop. Now may also be a good time for you
to start giving back to the community by organising a meetup yourself or
volunteering to help at an event. Alternatively, think about how you could
engage with Lolita more on a daily basis, through clothes as well as hobbies.
Your blue blood is noticeable
straightaway and you’re part of Lolita community’s crème de la crème. Whether
you’ve been at it for a while or dived into the fashion really intensively, you
are admired and respected by others, both for your fabulous coords and
commitment to your community. Many aspire to be like you and you are a role
model to others. Now may be a good time to take this further and engage with
the wider, global community a bit more or pick up a new skill, if you fancy
running your own brand. Alternatively, have a good, hard look through your
wardrobe to see if you really need all of these clothes.
Mind you, Mana-sama probably hasn’t
organised as many events as you have, but you both exist in the most divine
realm of Lolita fashion reserved only for the royalty. You have been active in
the Lolita fashion scene for quite some time now and are very well known
amongst Lolitas worldwide. You could entertain many a tea party with delightful
stories of your purchases, travels, encounters and achievements. Yet even you
may still have some things left on your bucket list: maybe that last
impossible-to-get dream dress or meeting that one person who hasn’t been at an
event since just before you got into Lolita? Whatever it is, we know that you
will manage to make those dreams come true – all whilst dressed in your most
fabulous, enviable frills – and make sure to use your divine powers for good
and not evil.
