1 Dress 4 Looks Take 78
From the moment I bought Meta’s Cyber Neon Girl I knew that this would be a significant outlier in my wardrobe. I’ve accepted that and have come to terms with likely wearing this dress a lot more casually than in typically lolita ways. So whilst I’ve had like 6 months to be finding complementary pieces for it and will try, prepare yourself for a more broadly J-fashion and a little less typically lolita 1 Dress 4 Looks post.
Look 1: Blinding Lights

Hey Google, play The Weeknd. Obviously with such a neon print I had to have a go at styling it with these shoes and bag. They are simply made for it and whether in this iteration or some other one, this combo is bound to make an appearance at some point. Hopefully for some fun arcade photoshoot, if I can manage that.
Look 2: Blackpink in your area
If I had to pick a colour to pair with black, pink is one of my top choices. Maybe it’s because it’s somehow easiest, maybe it’s just overexposure to the combination, but it shines for me in more street-leaning looks. If this coord wasn’t incredibly impractical, this would totally be ready for some event afterparty. Or maybe I just need to stop being scared of these shoes because of one near-accident I had.
Look 3: Street Gal
With its very cool, streetwear vibe, I needed to put this dress with my big leg warmers. The chunky sneakers are the only thing I bought specifically for this JSK (and have since worn with other stuff) and the platform sole with the wide legwarmer is a great look. I'd rather the top half be a zip-up hoodie or something like that, but I don't own any, certainly not in white. In retrospect, I should've taken advantage of the Cyber Neon Girl jacket being reversible to have that as my black layer and pick a different white top. Oh well, next time.
Look 4: Leaning Into the Reds
For all the colours in this wild print, the organza overlays make it lean towards red tones. So I did too. Captain Chris was a very last minute addition as I was moving things from one room to the other, but his silliness fits the silliness of this print to me. And given that I have a choice of tartan flats to swap these platform heels out for, it's great to have a more wearable alternative too.
Considering how wildly outside my wardrobe’s comfort zone this series is, I’m very pleased with the looks that I was able to come up with only one new thing bought specifically to wear with this release. It makes me very excited to wear it and live out my cyber neon girl dreams. Realistically, this is going to become my Going to Gigs with the BF uniform, but given the number of gigs he takes me to, I’ll get a lot of wear out of it, which will absolutely justify the cost.
